Pact in Myanmar is currently seeking a motivated, experienced and dedicated candidate for the position of Junior Finance Officer.

Position Title: Junior Finance Officer
Department: Finance Unit, Shared Services Department
Supervisor: Senior Finance Officer
Salary: Attractive, with generous staff benefits
Duty Station: Yangon Office
Duration: One-year full time initially (with three months’ probation)
Renewable subject to satisfactory work performance and fund availability

Position Summary:
The Junior Finance Officer is part of the finance team responsible for maintaining all financial documents, managing cash on hand and petty cash, recording cash transactions into Pact accounting software, following up on aging balance, etc. The Finance Officer reports directly to the Senior Finance Officer.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Managing all the cash transactions in the finance department
• Disburse working advances and expenses after approved process.
• Prepare receipt voucher and give original to recipient when any cash received
• Store undisbursed cash and receipt cash in safe box
• Maintaining daily account of the daily transactions by excel sheet
• Reconcile the daily account at the end of each day
• Check/Count the daily cash balance
• Solving all staffs’ cash related queries
• Making daily, weekly and monthly transaction reports
• Present daily cash books the Senior Finance Officer for checking
• Filing the all cash related document and handover the payment, receipt voucher to Senior Finance Officer after the disbursing and receiving
• Prepare voucher for all documents (payment, receipt, and journal voucher) related to Travel,Trainig and other payments
• Review aging advances on a regular basis and ensure staff are timely liquidate all advances both travel and other advance

• Filling all financial documents related to the monthly financial reports, Pact Policies and Procedures memos.
• Run suggest vendor by using System for all cash payments.
• Weekly review and reconcile all posted cash transactions in the Serenic for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare cash reconciliation which is part of the monthly financial report on monthly basis.
• Provide support as needed for both Pact audit and external audits & monitoring reviews.
• Undertake all finance duties and necessary perform any task assigned by Supervisor
General Administration and Program Support:
• Promote gender equality within the Pact team and integrate gender awareness within all activities;
• Participate in Pact staff meetings;
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Senior Finance Officer

Minimum Requirements:

• University degree with major in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Economics OR relevant accounting certification.
• Minimum two-year experience in similar role, preferable INGO experience
• Proficiency in excel, word processing and extensive experience with computerized accounting software.
• Demonstrated ability in oral and written English communications skills to effectively present detailed financial information and respond to questions in a professional manner.
• Strong work planning and organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Attention to details, ability to work quickly and accurately under time pressure and tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as the member of a team
• Willing to learn or adapt to new ideas and procedures.
• Deadline oriented
